The trip will take you to the most
unique places on Kamchatka. You will visit the magnificent Uzon Valley,
with its rainbow-colored bubbling cauldrons; the Valley of Geysers,
unknown to outsiders until the 1940's; as well as erupting volcanoes,
brown bears, birds, deer and the spectacular blue crater lake of Maly
Semyachik volcano
16-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1.
Arrival in PK. Accommodation in hotel. City tour. Preparation for trip.
Day 2. Helicopter flight to Ostanets Hill (Kronotsky National
Park). Prepare base camp on Sestrenka River bank. Overnight in tents.
Day 3. 3 km trek and excursion to Valley of Geysers. View geysers. Return to base camp.
Day 4. Trek to Uzon Valley (9 km). You will pass a picturesque plain where bears feed on wild berries. Make base camp.
Day 5.
Continue trek to Uzon valley (2 km). Excursion in Uzon Valley, which is
known for its spectacular crater-shaped-pits 25 - 150 meters in
diameter and 25 - 40 meters deep, filled with hot and unusually colored
thermal water. Return to base camp.
Days 6-7.
Trek to Burlyaschiy Volcano (12 km per day). This part of the trip will
lead you through richer vegetation with a large variety of birds and
animals.
Day 8. Rest and excursions near
Burlyaschy Volcano. The bottom of its crater is called 'The Steaming
Valley' because of the multiple boiling puddles, small fountains and
tiny mud volcanoes. Here you can see all the volcano types in
miniature. This Valley is also musically toned with bubbling and
splashing sounds. You will bathe in thermal hot springs.
Day 9 Trek down to Semyachik Hot Springs. (20 km)
Day 10. Continue trekking down to Maly Semyachik Volcano (6 km) and continue trek on Pacific Ocean coast (6 km).
Day 11.
Continue trekking down to Maly Semyachik volcano (12 km). Visit
Pikhtovaya Roscha - a dark green spot shining against the light green
background of birchwood.
Day
12. Trekking down and arrival at Maly Semyachik Volcano (16 km). Overnight in tents.
Day 13.Ascend Maly Semyachik Volcano and view its spectacular blue crater lake.
Day 14. Reserve day in case of bad weather.
Day 15.Return to PKC by helicopter MI-8. On the way, you will fly over and land near Karymsky Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes on Kamchatka. Overnight in Paratunka Resort.
Day 16. Departure.
