Traveling to Kamchatka from the UK and Europe

The easiest and cheapest way to reach Kamchatka from Europe is to fly via Moscow. There are daily flights from Moscow to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka. The flight will give you a sense of how incomprehensively huge Russia is- the 7500km (4687 mile) 'great circle' route spans nine time zones
Please note the following:
  • The city code for Petropavlosk is PKC. For Moscow use MOW.
  • Keep in mind that, due to the length of the flight and the number of time zones you cross en route, you will arrive in Petropavlosk the day AFTER departing Moscow, and (on the return trip) you will arrive back in Moscow at nearly the same time you departed Kamchatka! Because of this, you should book a flight leaving Moscow the day before you need to arrive on Kamchatka.
