#702. Skiing trip to Nalacheva Valley (National park)

One of the most interesting places in Kamchatka is the upper reaches of the Nalacheva River, hidden behind the Avacha volcano chain. Volcanoes, covered with glaciers and snowcaps, surround it on nearly all sides, creating a spectacular setting. Volcanoes, with their scorching magma chambers, spawn both hot and cold mineral water springs. The strongest of them are located on the edge of a large glade called Medvezhya Tundra. These are true hot-water rivers, with temperatures exceeding 40C. Aag's narzan is located at the foothills of the extinct Aag Volcano (Narzan is a kind of mineral water). Here among volcanoes covered with a thin coating of mineral deposits small streams of cold water come out from under stones.
