#501. Fishing the Opala River (the south of Kamchatka) |
This is a spring-fed river located in the southwest of Kamchatka, full of all the major species ofsalmon and trout. The water is so clear that you can see the fish moving towards the fly.
- Day 1. Arrival in PK. Meet your guides. Transfer to
helicopter site after welcome lunch . Helicopter flight to Opala River. Accommodation
in fishing camp. Evening fishing.
Days 2-7. Fishing or
flyfishing on motorboats and from the banks of the Opala River.
Day 8. Fishing. Return to Petropavlovsk by
helicopter. On the way the helicopter will land near the Khodutka River, which is warmed by thermal springs, for
a brief swim. Shopping for souvenirs in Petropavlovsk. Transfer to airport. Departure.

#502. Fishing on the Kolpakova River (western Kamchatka) |
Fish for salmon in the pristine
waters of the Kolpakova River. The river flows from high in the mountains of central Kamchatka into
the Sea of Okhotsk, site of Cold War submarine intrique. With your arms tired from pulling in fish, you will spend your last day relaxing in the Bolshe-Bannye thermal hot springs.

- Day 1. Arrival in PK. Transfer to helicopter site
after welcome lunch. Meet your guide. Helicopter flight to Kolpakova River.
Accommodation in fishermen's camp. Evening fishing or flyfishing.
- Days 2-7. Fishing or flyfishing on motorboats and
from the banks of the Kolpakova River.
- Day 8. Fishing. Return by helicopter to
Petropavlovsk with pit-stop for bathing in the Bolshe-Bannye thermal hot springs. Shopping for
souvenirs in Petropavlovsk. Transfer to
airport. Departure.

#503. Fishing on Tigil/Sopochnaya River (northern
Kamchatka) |
This remote river is a fisherman's paradise. Located in the far northern corner of the Peninsula, in the midst of an immense wilderness, it is teeming with salmon. The river is 40 meters wide and 0.5 - 3 meters deep, with a quiet current and clear water that makes for easy wading.
- Day 1. Arrival in PK. Meet your guide. Drive to Esso
settlement after lunch . Accommodation in private apartments.
- Day 2. Helicopter flight to Tigil (or
Sopochnaya) River. Accommodation in fishing camp (in a lodge on the riverside). Fishing
from motor boats and river bank.
- Days 3-8. Fishing on motor boats and from the river
bank.
- Day 9. Return by helicopter to Esso settlement.
Travel by bus to Petropavlovsk. Accommodation in hotel (double).
- Day 10. Shopping for souvenirs. Transfer to
airport. Departure.
